End of Summer Exotic Fever Update!

We hate seeing summer go so we stretch it as far as we can. There's been a lot of amazing activity and joy at Exotic Fever Records! This summer I co-organized a new event, Reunion Summer. Also huge thanks to Greg Ceton, the partner of EXF webmaster and artist Kathy Cashel, for doing amazing sound for this event.

One of our newer artists (but longtime friends!) Star Matriarch aka Carol Bui played with her reunited band Princessed. Star Matriarch has been releasing singles from her remastered album and we're honored to have her as part of the EXF family. Take a look at her music and videos here, and if you are in the Pacific NW check out an upcoming show! Stay tuned for the next single set to drop in September 2023.

We are also honored to be releasing the latest album by Fine Motor, our Reno, NV friends! Phantom Power is their new album, up now digitally on all platforms and out on vinyl this November. Stay tuned!

Upholstery, Phiadelphia's finest, are currently recording their newest album and I got to play drums on a few tracks which was wonderful. Jeremy from Upholstery also continues to organize benefit shows called The Monthly Fund that all folks in Philly should check out. My band Rainbow Crimes (also in the midst of writing new material!) is playing the next one with Upholstery September 15^th.

In other news to watch our dear old friend and longtime Exotic Fever artist Gina Young is working on an Exotic Fever release! Based in LA, Gina is DC born and bred and I've known her since we were teens. Expect a new release and some touring. We are thrilled and for the younger fans who didn't get to see her back in the day, we highly recommend you make it out! Listen to her former EXF release She's So Androgynous here.

Cool Moon continues to play awesome shows in Texas. Beg them to come to yr town – they rock. And make sure to listen to all their EXF albums and purchase them. Artist page here.

War on Women also is gearing up for a new album and lots of playing out!

Also just a note – I have realized that I am caught in the past in terms of pricing so I did run some of the items through an inflation calculator and will be making price updates in the upcoming months. I hope you all know it is because I can't financially afford not to! Appreciate the understanding – it has taken me a while to get with the times in more ways than one. All of your support of the label means so much and helps me keep going all these years.
